Mack W. Shelton, Sr.

Mack W. Shelton, Sr., of Jackson, Ohio, born March 1, 1943 in Lynchburg, VA, passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, E. Ann Price Shelton, and his children, Mack, Jr. of Los Angeles, CA; Dr. Cynthia Munro of Baltimore, MD; David Christopher of Sao Paulo, Brazil; and his grandsons, Henry and Nicholas Munro.

A 1961 graduate of Boonsboro High School in Lynchburg, VA, he served as a staff sergeant in the US Marine Corps. He then earned a BS degree in Industrial Chemistry from Whitworth College in Brookhaven, MS. After a distinguished sales career in the steel industry, he enjoyed his retirement by playing golf, socializing with his many friends and family members, and influencing the lives of students as a substitute teacher at Jackson High School.

A celebration of his life will be held at the Christ United Methodist Church Family Life Center, 150 Portsmouth Street, Jackson, on Saturday, April 14, at 10:30 a.m., with Rev. David Roach officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society.
