Luther Norman Albert, age 86, of Wellston, went home to be with our Lord on Saturday, October 23, 2021. He was born June 27, 1935, in Jackson, Ohio to the late Vancil and N. Carol (Dobbins) Albert. Luther was a former employee for Fannin Construction, then later retired from Osco Industries. He attended Missionary Baptist Church in Wellston. Luther enjoyed spending time with family, going to church, gardening, attending auctions, hunting, fishing and mushroom hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara J. (Steorts) Rider Albert; daughters: Diana (Tim) Baisden and Brenda Hutchison; step-children: Mark Rider, Brent (Debbie) Rider, Carmen (John) Cline, Toni (Stephen) Osborne and Tracey (Rick) Lamb; sisters: Bonnie Asbury, Aletha Seymour and Carolyn Albert; grandchildren: Walter (Christy) Albert, Gene McCoy, Misty Albert, Crystal (Chris) Helgerson, Kenny Hutchison, Ben Hutchison, Brittany Albert and Cory Reese; along with numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family. Besides his parents, Luther was preceded in death by sons: David and Thomas Albert; grandson, Benjamin Hutchison; sister, Mary Murphy; and brother, Delmar Albert.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, October 27, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral services will follow the calling hours at 2 p.m. with Pastor Gary Tilley officiating. Burial will be in the Greenlawn Memory Gardens in Coalton.
