James T. McDonald, age 78, of Jackson, passed away Saturday, October 9, 2021 at the Holzer Medical Center of Gallipolis. He was born on March 17, 1943, in Kentucky to the late Mary Jane Vance. He was a member of the Beagle Club. He loved to go hunting, fishing and especially the Tuesday shooting match with all his friends from the Beagle Club. He also loved to play horseshoes at the cookouts.
James leaves behind his loving daughters: Laure (Rob) Devlin, Diana (Brian) Jarvis; son, Jamie (Cynthia) McDonald; grandchildren: Shane (Tausha) Folden, Austin (Jazmine) Baisden, Jacob, Ethan and Nathan Devlin, Brian (Jess) Jarvis, Nicole Cadle (Robert Whitten), Michael McDonald, Amanda McDonald and TJ (Kristi) McDonald; great-grandchildren: Shane, Tayla and Shayla Folden, Timothy Baisden, Briley Jarvis, Ava and Owen Stumbo, Emma, Ella and Easton McDonald and Derrick Cadle; and sister, Rosie Johnson. He is also survived by his loving friends: Billy, Brittany and Colton Sexton, Rodney Smith, Moose, Steve Daniels, Eugene Gilliland, TJ Potts and so many more. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Jaunita McDonald; son, Tim McDonald; brothers: Curtis Miller, Louie Vance, Jimmy Vance; sister, Janie Vance and half-brother Chester Vance.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, October 17, 2021, at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Greenlawn Memorial Garden in Coalton, Ohio. Family will receive friends Saturday, October 16, 2021, from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
