Steven W. Ford, age 72, of Oak Hill, passed away Friday, September 24, 2021, at his home. He was born on November 27, 1948, in Oak Hill to the late Lovena (Jackson) Ford.
He was one of thirteen children. He is survived by his siblings: Clemevest “Tootsie,” Dorothy “Dot,” Joyce “Joy,” Roger and Lowell; and special nephew, Jeremy Ford. Also surviving are other various nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his sisters: Alice, Mary, Lenora, Marlene “Clarissa,”; and brothers: Errol, Robert and Timmy.
He graduated from Oak Hill High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army and Navy during the Vietnam era, touring in Germany for a short time. He retired from Kyger Creek Power Plant. He was an avid car collector and was a huge follower and supporter of Jimmy Swaggart Ministries.
Friends may call Wednesday, September 29, 2021, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1 p.m. with Rev.
