Jerry L. Brady, age 76 of Jackson, passed away at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis, Ohio on Sunday, September 19, 2021. He was born in Jackson, Ohio on August 22, 1945, to the late Buster and Violet Louise (Perry) Brady Abrams. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn (Sagraves) Brady.
Jerry is survived by his daughter, Stacey (Phillip) Stanley; grandchildren: Aaron Church, Mitchell Church, and William Stanley; his sisters: Brenda Roberts and Ruby Coldiron; along with several nephews.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving two tours in Vietnam with the 101st Airborne. He was also a member of the D.A.V. He served as the head usher at the Jackson First Church of the Nazarene for many years.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. at the Jackson First Church of the Nazarene on Saturday, September 25 with Pastor Wayne Searles officiating. Burial, with military honors provided by the Jackson Chapter 45 – Disabled American Veterans will follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Jackson. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m.
