Emma Lou Pittenger Farney, age 66 of Wellston, went home to be with the Lord, surrounded by loved ones. She was born Feb. 28, 1955 in Wellston, Ohio to the late Everett Wesley “Big” and Wilma Burke Pittenger.
She is survived by her son: Bill “Buckey” Farney III; daughter-in-law: Jessie, who was more like a daughter; three grandsons: Brian, Devon and Kaydon Farney; siblings: Bill Ghearing, Polly (Gene) Todd, Sue Smith, Ronnie Pittenger, Nancy Tennant, Marilyn (Sarge) Coles, Kenny (Lisa) Pittenger, Mable Williams, Gene (Shari) Carpenter, Gary Pittenger, Joseph Pittenger and Adelynn VanAernum.
She leaves so many cousins, nephews, nieces, along with two very special friends: Vickie Deyak and Kendall Miller. She will be sadly missed by one and all.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter: Amanda Jean Farney; brothers: Charles Pittenger, Robert “Bob” Pittenger and Paul “Tucker” Pittenger; and sister: Rosie Pittenger.
