Cheryl Ann Church, age 60, of Jackson, Ohio passed away Friday, Aug. 6, at Riverside Methodist in Columbus. She was born Apr. 27, 1961, in Ashland, Kentucky to the late James and Ann (McKnight) Church.
Cheryl was the tenth child of twelve and is survived by her siblings: Nola Thacker, Rosemary Elkins, James Church Jr., Barbara (Allen) Daugherty, Joyce (Roger) Pucket, Brenda Slusher, Garnet (Gary) Tacket, Tina (Alan) McFann and Teresa Butler.
Cheryl lived with her sister Barbara who, along with her daughter, Angie took care of her for eleven years. Her sister Joyce was there to help take her to her doctor appointments and do what she could to help out. These two sisters are to be commended for their dedication to Cheryl while everyone else lived away in other states.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Robert Church and Paul Church.
Cheryl loved to read, especially Steven King novels. She had an extreme intellect and could talk on any subject. She liked all kinds of music, and her favorite color was green. She always had a positive attitude, even in the face of health issues.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 11, from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com
