Danny Lee Bartlett, Jr., age 65, of Byer, passed away Monday, July 5, at his home. He was born November 19, 1955, in McArthur, the son of the late Danny L. Bartlett, Sr. and Marlene A. Jenkins Bartlett. Danny retired from EGI, where he was employed as a press operator for 15 years. He was an avid football fan who especially enjoyed cheering for The Ohio State Buckeyes. Danny also enjoyed his pig-themed collectibles, riding 4-wheelers, and hunting.
He is survived by his wife of over 36 years, Linda A Creech Bartlett; children, Raymond V. Bartlett (Dawn) of Byer and James P. Williamson (Jillian) of North Carolina; grandchildren, Eden Rose Williamson and Gunnar Graham Williamson; sisters, Pamela Pittenger (Dean) of Wellston and Debbie Sickles of Wellston; brother-in-law, Terry Rinehart of Byer; sister-in-law, Rhonda Bartlett of Ray; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and his beloved dog and companion, Spike. Besides his parents, Danny was preceded in death by his son, Danny Lee Bartlett III; brothers, Tony Bartlett and Thomas Bartlett; sister, Angela Rinehart; and brother-in-law, Ernie Sickles.
Calling hours will be Thursday, July 8, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will be Friday, July 9 at 11 a.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home, with Pastor Brian Carpenter officiating. Burial will follow in the Byer Cemetery.
