Shirley Jenkins, age 85, of Oak Hill, Ohio passed away Monday, June 21 at her home. She was born August 29, 1935 in Sciotoville, Ohio to the late William Riley and Mary Elizabeth Johnson.
Shirley was a graduate of Wheelersburg High School and Portsmouth Interstate Business College. She was a former employee of Oak Hill Hospital and retired from Holzer as an admittance manager.
She is survived by her son, Kevin (Diana) Shelton; daughter, Susan (Rick) Hall; stepchildren: David Jenkins, Linda, Barry Jenkins, and Holly Moody; grandchildren: Dustin, Coty, Tyler, Jarrett, Daniel, and Laura Shelton and Ian, Gabriel, and Aidan Hall; great-grandchildren: Blake, Savannah and Coral Grace Shelton and Owen Rhys and William Riley Hall; brother, Gary (Pat) Johnson; sister, Joyce Ruggles; as well as several step-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence Shelton; love of her life, and husband Reverend Gomer Jenkins; and siblings: Gene Johnson, Danny Johnson, Keith Johnson, and Donna Sue Litz.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, June 25 at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson with Pastor Hannah Niday officiating.
