Nancy Ann Oiler, age 90, of Wellston, passed away Friday, March 12, 2021, at the Holzer Medical Center in Jackson, Ohio.
She was born July 28, 1930 in Wellston, Ohio, daughter of the late Joseph Edward Mantz and Alice May Cartwright Mantz. Nancy graduated with the Wellston High School class of 1948. She was a loving wife, mother, Nana and homemaker who enjoyed crocheting and researching genealogy. Nancy also always enjoyed attending her alumni class reunions and visiting and reminiscing with her former classmates. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wellston.
Nancy is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Joy Oiler; granddaughter and husband, Caitlin Oiler and David Landers; sister, Marilyn Phillips; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Kirby L. Oiler, Jr. in 2000; daughter, Colleen Vicars; and brothers, Joseph Mantz, Richard Mantz and Martin Mantz.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, March 17, 2021, from 12 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. at Ridgewood Cemetery with Pastor Dave Kelly officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions in Nancy’s name be given to a favorite charity or church of your choice. For those choosing to attend the services, facial coverings are required inside the building along with the practice of social distancing.
