Timothy Michael Cox, age 63, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, and a former resident of Wellston, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2020, at St. Vincent Hospital in Hot Springs. He was born November 23, 1956 in Greenfield, Ohio.
Tim graduated from Pt. Pleasant High School and attended Hocking Technical College. He loved animals and was a former employee of the Veterinary Animal Clinic in Lancaster. Tim was an outdoors man who loved hiking in the mountains of Arkansas and listening to country music. When Tim lived locally, he attended the Mt. Carmel Christian Church in Wellston. Tim is survived by his mother and step-father, Daisy Jean and Floyd W. Sass, Sr.; brother and sister-in-law, Orville Leo “Butch” and Betty Cox; step-sisters and brothers-in-law, Bonnie and Scott Mullins and Terri and Allen Wright; step-brother, Floyd W. Sass, Jr.; girlfriend, Summer Stallings; along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Tim was preceded in death by his father, Vernon Russell Cox; wife, Becky Cox; brother, Vernon Russell “Rusty” Cox, Jr.; and step-sister, April Wicker.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 3 p.m. with Rev. Cecil Combs officiating. Burial will be in the Salem Cemetery.
