Camilla “Kim” Perdue Wassilchenko, age 73, of Oklahoma, and a former resident of Wellston, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018, at Integris Hospice House in Oklahoma City. She was born Oct. 30, 1944 in Kenova, West Virginia to the late Henry E. Perdue and Rita Smith Perdue.
Kim was a 1962 graduate of Wellston High School, and then in later years received her Bachelor’s Degree in nursing from Rio Grande College. Kim was briefly employed at Cabell Huntington Hospital before moving to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she worked for many years as a cardiac rehab nurse. While living in Wellston, Kim attended the First Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, reading her Bible, traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
Kim is survived by her children, Barry Collins (Gina), Teri Taylor, Rachel Carroll (Howard) and Jeff Collins, all of Oklahoma; brothers, Terry Perdue of Huntington, WV, Rick Perdue (Roxanne) of Wellston, and Tony Perdue (Mary Ann) of Wellston, along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Uri Wassilchenko; and her brother, Tom Perdue.
