Jerry Dale Rose, age 50, of Jackson County, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2016 due to a car accident. He was born December 10, 1965 in Oak Hill to the late Leroy “Bud” Rose and Opal Mae “Patty” (Perkins) Rose.
He is survived by his wife, Kristi (Williams) Rose, of Jackson; children, Bryan, Nicholas, Alexandria and Miranda Rose, all of Tennessee; step daughter, Shelby O’Dell, of Gallipolis; sister, Pamela “Susie” (David) Barnhart, of Jackson; grandchildren, Oakley, Ryker and Asa Rose, Olivia Boone and Lyla Caruthers; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles relatives and friends.
Jerry worked at Techniglass, Lowe’s, Masco, FPE and several other places before his disability. He attended Oak Hill High School where he played football. Jerry loved to laugh and he had the gift of gab. He loved sports, mainly the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Browns and the Cincinnati Bengals. He also loved to listen to rock and roll music and enjoyed Karaoke and being Santa Claus at local nursing homes.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Richard Lee Rose and Mark Allen Rose.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. September 1, 2016 at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson with Rev. Herman Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 12 noon until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, monetary donations may be made to the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home to help with funeral costs.
