Frank (Sonny) Carlson, Jr., age 69, of Jackson, passed away Friday, August 5, 2016 at his home. He was born February 1st, 1947 in Cleveland, Ohio. He was the son of Margaret (Frejofski) Carlson and the late Frank F. Carlson, Sr.
He is survived by the love of his life of 50 years, as of July 2, 2016, Marie Carlson; sons, Michael Carlson, of Jackson, Kevin Carlson, of Florida and Chris Crowe, of Chillicothe; daughter, Tina (Bob) Wills, of Piketon; granddaughter, Amanda Fisher and great-grandson, Brian Fisher. Also surviving are his sister, Kathy (Bo) Mahley and their children; special nephew, Carl (Cristy) Bartelson and their son, Justin; as well as several brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins from the Cleveland area.
Frank was a retired over-the-road truck driver and he received the Million Mile Driving Award from Montgomery Trucking. He was an avid member of the flying club (RC Aces), a lifelong fan of Elvis Presley, and he loved to collect trains.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Rylee Carlson; father-in-law, Orville Exline; mother-in-law, Eleanor Exline; sister-in-law, Barbara (Exline) Banks; sister, Margaret “Sis” Bartelson; nephew, Joey Bartelson; as well as aunts and uncles on Mother’s side.
