Benjamin F. “Benny” Adams Jr., age 80, of Jackson, passed away Friday, August 5, 2016 at his home. He was born May 2, 1936 in Letcher County, Kentucky to the late Cordia (Wright) Adams and Benjamin F. Adams, Sr.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lora (Culwell) Adams; children, Melody Eubanks, Tami (Norm) Maynard, Scotty (Holly) Adams and Shelly (Rob) Hall; grandchildren, Bobby Eubanks, Joey Mullins, Jillian Eubanks, Ben Maynard, Madi Hall, Sydney Adams and Noah Hall. Also surviving are great-grandchildren, Wyatt Martin, Ashton Mullins, Zac Eubanks, Savannah Maynard, Macie Eubanks, Liam Mullins and Paisley Maynard; and a sister, Janet Wright.
Benny was owner/operator of Adams Insulation and Glass Service. He was founder of the Bluegrass Club and was a professional story teller.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Adams; granddaughter, Mollie Elizabeth Hall; four brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson with Pastor Mike Wyatt officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Ridge Cemetery.
