Earl E. Johnson, age 84, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away peacefully Friday, May 20, 2016 at his home with his family by his side. He was born January 1, 1932 to the late Sam (Agnes Conley) Johnson and Bonnie (Pell) Johnson. Earl was a retired railroader, a farmer, and a member of Trinity Chapel Church of Jackson.
He is survived by his children, Pam (Mark) Erter of Carlisle, Ohio, Ed (Darla) Johnson of Jackson, Ohio, and Teresa (Tom) Moore of Jackson, Ohio; four grandchildren: Kristen (Keith) Yeager of Centerville, Ohio, Michael Erter of Middletown, Ohio, and Dana Johnson and Ryan Johnson, both of Jackson, Ohio; three great-grandchildren: Alexis Yeager, Dylan Remy, and McKenzie Remy; three step-grandchildren: Timmy Campbell, Rebekah Adkins, and Susan Conley, all of Oak Hill, Ohio; three brothers: Kenneth Carver, Sammy Gayle, and Paul Johnson, all of Beaver, Ohio; and one sister, Sue Clemens of Columbus, Ohio.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Frances (Williams) Johnson; two brothers and six sisters.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, May 23, 2016 from 2 to 8 p.m. at Trinity Chapel in Jackson. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Chapel with Rev.
