Clifford K. Walker, age 87, of Jackson, passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at the Holzer Medical Center – Jackson. He was born on February 5, 1928 in Saint Albans, West Virginia to the late Roscoe E. Walker and Edith (Propst) Walker.
He is survived by his wife, Ranelle (Francisco) Walker and children, Danny (Deborah) Smith of Jackson, Gary (Debby) Walker of North Charleston, South Carolina and Nancy Walker of Coalton. Five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren also survive.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Roscoe Edward “Ed” Walker II and Thomas Gilbert Walker. Several nieces and nephews also preceded him in death.
Clifford loved the Lord and his church. He served as Deacon for many years and was a long-time choir member as well. He was the owner of Walker’s Gulf in Jackson for 40 years and Walker’s Ashland in Wellston for 4-1/2 years. He served in the United States Air Force for three years from 1946 to 1949.
Funeral services will be held at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home in Jackson on Sunday, December 20 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Tim Keeton officiating. Burial will follow at Cunningham Memorial Park in Saint Albans, West Virginia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, December 19 from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m.
