Frank F. Johnson, Jr. went to be with the Lord Friday, Sept. 18th at the age of 66. He was a beloved husband, father and pap.
Frank was born on Dec.1, 1948, to the late Frank F. Johnson Sr. and Dorothy P. (Glass) Johnson. Frank was a lifetime resident of Jackson. He enjoyed trading anything and everything, but mostly Frank loved being surrounded by his family and friends.
Besides his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Lou Sadie Williams; father-in-law, Virgil Williams; 5 sisters: Barbara Folden, Virginia Childers, Virgene Kisor, Marilyn Coffer, and Linda Manns; 2 brothers: Jerry and Edward Johnson; 3 brother-in- laws: Gene Folden, Gary Smith and Sherman Manns; and his very best friend, Ellis Yearian.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Loretta G. Johnson; 3 children: Frank T. Johnson (Teresa Souders), Jeffery (Tonya) Johnson, Luanna (Greg) Parker; 8 grandchildren: Kelsy (Mark) Staten, Devin (Jonna) Johnson, Darian (Casey) Phillips, Corey Johnson, Taila Hodge, Kaity Parker, Anthony Meadows and Dillon Johnson; 2 great-grand kids: Maddison Staten and Sophia Staten; 4 brothers: Larry (Sharon) Johnson, Ronnie (Rosie) Johnson, Roger Johnson and Robert (Anna) Johnson; 4 sisters: Anna (Garland) Lambert, Carolyn (Mike) Raby, Joann Olsen and Benda (Curt) Pucket; 2 sister-in-laws, Margie (Charlie) Cox and Kay (Dan) Metzger; friends Steve and Regina Lightle and many, many loved nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home on Monday, September 21 at 11 a.m. with Rev. David Rahamut officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Sunday, Sept. 20 from 4 to 8 p.m.
