Gladys Marie (Winston) Craddolph, age 88, passed away Saturday February 28, 2015 at Holzer Senior Care. Gladys was born August 13, 1926 in the Rio Grande area. She was one of 12 children as well as a twin, one of three sets of twins born to the late Helen and Elmer Winston.
In June of 1956, Gladys married Harold (Bus) Craddolph and moved to Blackfork, Ohio. She was a member of Union Baptist Church. Gladys was employed for many years by the Jindra family. She cared for all of the children and maintained a special bond with Jim.
Gladys was preceded in death by her husband Harold (Bus) Craddolph; parents, Helen and Elmer Winston; mother- and father-in-law, Hattie and Lemuel Craddolph; sister-in-law, Phyllis Harris; brothers, Warren, Clarence, Harold, Bob, John, and David; sister, Virginia Williams; as well as four brothers-in-law and four sisters-in-law.
She is survived by twin sister, Glenna Figgins of Gallipolis, Ohio; sisters, Betty Meachum of Cincinnati and Diane Yovan; one brother, Gerald of Columbus; sister-in-law, Doris Craddolph; and special friend, Jim Jindra and his family; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Gladys will be remembered for her kind and beautiful spirit.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2015 at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Union Baptist Cemetery.
