Louise Augusta Graham, age 76, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Holzer of Jackson. She was born May 27, 1938 in Bristol, Rhode Island to the late Earle and Louise (Wells) Ledoux. She was a graduate of Colt High School in Bristol, Rhode Island. Louise was married to the love of her life, the late William E. Graham for over 55 years.
Louise worked at Goodyear in Jackson and was a cook for the Head Start School program for many years. She very much enjoyed working with the children, families, and her co-workers that she met through the program. Louise, along with her husband, volunteered with Community Action and Hope Haven School for many years while fostering a child, Tim with whom they kept in touch with into adulthood; he always held a special place in their hearts.
Louise was an accomplished cross-stitcher and loved quilting, sewing, and crafts. She was actively involved in numerous groups and clubs within her community over the years. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by son, William E. Graham Jr. of Jackson, Ohio; granddaughter, Sara (Jeremy) Helphenstine of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; grandson, Eric Graham of Jackson, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Noah, Matthew, and Hannah Helphenstine and Clayton, Devan, Dillon, and Garrett Graham; sisters, Marian (Rick) Lorenzano of Rhode Island and Marilyn Rice of Rhode Island; and numerous extended family members and friends.
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents and husband was a brother, Earle Ledoux Jr. of Connecticut.
Friends may call at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson, Ohio on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
