Myrtle Rasp, age 51, of Jackson, Ohio, went home to be with her Lord after losing her long, hard battle with cancer on Sunday, October 19, 2014 with her family by her side. She was born June 19, 1963 to the late Lindsey and Olive Webb.
Myrtle was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially loved the holidays.
She is survived by her husband of 14 years, David; sisters, Inis (Wayne) Edwards, Linda Riley, Wanda (Don) Case, Sadie (Clyde) Stiltner, and Donna Smith; brothers, Lindsey Webb Jr., Kenny (Gwen) Webb; her children, Kristi (Darren) Kallner, Cortney (Aaron) Butcher, Steven (Tatum) Rasp, Derik (Korena) Sturgill, Nashanda (Steven) Dearth, and Chloe Rasp; step-son, Chris Sturgill Jr.; nine grandchildren plus two on the way, that she loved more than life itself; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. She had three special nieces that never left her side, Kelly, Carrie, and Kassie; and a best friend, Lillian Cameron. Myrtle had an endless amount of love and support that came from the entire community.
Friends may call on Thursday, October 23, 2014 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, October 24, 2014 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dobie Wyant officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
