David Franklin Kessler, age 79, of Wellston, passed away Monday, January 20, 2014, at the home of his daughter in Radcliff, Ohio. He was born March 7, 1934 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Christian and Doris Smothers Kessler. David was a former employee of McNally Pittsburg Manufacturing in Wellston for 18 years.
He is survived by two daughters, Diane (Dean) Detty of Radcliff and Candy Jacobs of Wellston; brothers, James Kessler of Delaware, Oh., Gary (Carol) Kessler of Reynoldsburg and Gene (Ruth) Kessler of Ghent, W. Va.; sisters, Joy (Don) McAtee of Columbus and Kay Perry of Columbus, as well as eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, David was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Lowe Kessler in 1989; an infant son; daughter, Rebecca Phillips and a brother, Ray Kessler.
In keeping with David’s wishes, his body was cremated and there will be no services. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family in the Radcliff Cemetery.
