Jimmy L. Farley, age 75, of Route 279, Oak Hill peacefully went to his Lord and Saviour Friday morning, August 9th, at his home with his family at his bedside.
Born in Jackson County on November 28, 1937, he was the only son of the late Wesley Lloyd and Evelyn (McCoy) Farley.
Jim was an ordained minister and attended the Guardian of My Heart Church in Bidwell, Ohio. A veteran of both the U.S. Army and Navy, he retired from the former Atomic Plant, Piketon with 20 years of service.
Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his first wife, Betty; second wife, Mary; 16-month old daughter, Edie; step-daughter Kimberly Christopher; and a step-grandson.
He is survived by his wife, Louise (Fairchild Morse) Farley; daughter, Ellen (Dwayne) Paugh of Jackson; two granddaughters, Megan and Jessica; four stepchildren, Julia Coyan of Jackson; Nicholas Morse of Oak Hill, Patricia Helms of Gallipolis, Jamie Morse of Oak Hill; several step-grandchildren; sisters Fredelene Wagner, Irene Perry, Emogene Cahoon and Verna Perry; as well as several nieces and newphews.
Friends may call at the Kuhner-Lewis Funeral Home in Oak Hill from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Services will be held there 1 p.m. Monday with Rev. Charles Glassburn officiating. Graveside services will follow at Pattonsville Cemetery.
