Terry L. “Pete” Conley, age 56, of Beaver, Ohio, died Wednesday May 1, 2013 at the SOMC Hospice Center in Portsmouth, Ohio. He was born March 15, 1957 in Chillicothe, Ohio, a son of the late Cecil and Shirley Sheward Conley. Mr. Conley was united in marriage October 14, 1999 to his wife, Barbara Ann Hackworth Conley, who survives. Also surviving are one step-daughter, Margie (Tracy) Evans of Waverly, Ohio, two step-sons, Jeff (Leigha Willett) Gullett of Piketon, Ohio and John G. Roberts of Lucasville, Ohio, two step-grandchildren, two brothers, Ralph (Gayla) Conley of Beaver, Ohio and Gerald “Jerry” (Susie) Conley of Lexington, Kentucky, one sister, Celeste Sue (Stephen) Gist of Minnesota, three nieces, Paige, Patience, and Brittany Conley, all of Beaver, Ohio and his mother-in-law, Opal Faye Hackworth of Piketon, Ohio.
In his lifetime, Mr. Conley worked as a pipefitter and was a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 577 in Portsmouth, Ohio, worked with C&C Construction of Beaver, Ohio and worked as a welder in Minnesota.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday May 4, at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, with Rev. Ronald Hines officiating. Burial will follow in the Beaver Union Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Friday May 3, at the funeral home.
