Almeda Wallace, age 87, of Oak Hill, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Holzer Medical Center in Jackson. She was born October 28, 1924 in Oak Hill, to the late Henry and Muriel (Crabtree) Allen. She worked at Chun King and then Pillsbury.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Stanley Wallace; one son, Dennis Wallace; one sister, Dorothy Wallace; and two brothers-in-law, Tom Wallace and Wendell Davis.
She is survived by daughter, Donna (Dean) Snyder, of Oak Hill; daughter-in-law, Linda Wallace; grandchildren, Tracy (John) Carter, of Oak Hill, Jason (Jennifer) Wallace, of Cochise, AZ, Jeffrey (Emily) Wallace, of Mt. Orab, OH; and great-grandchildren, Caleb and Emma Carter, Elijah, Amelia, Anna, Leah Wallace and Oscar and Malina Wallace. Also surviving are one sister, Joan (Allen) Davis; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, June 14, 2012 at the Lewis-Gillum Funeral Home (formerly Kuhner-Lewis), 202 Maple Ave., Oak Hill, Ohio 45656, with Rev. Fred Crabtree officiating.
