John W. Fox, age 69, of Oak Hill, Ohio, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2012. He was born in Letcher Co., Ky., May 5, 1942 to the late Willie and Mae (Wright) Fox. He served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1964; he retired from Ford Motor Company and was a member of the Elks, Eagles, Moose and the American Legion.
He is survived by by his former wife, Beverly (Homler) Fox of Jackson, the mother of his children; daughter, Melanie Fox; grandchildren, Kearstyn Marie Fox of Jackson and Michael Wayne Gilliland of Oak Hill; sister-in-law, Gwen Fox of Elyria; two nieces, Crystal Duffield of Elyria and Melody Gallam of Oberlin, Ohio and nephew, William Fox of Elyria.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by son, Michael Wayne Fox and brother, William G. Fox.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 19, 2012 at the Eisnaugle-Lewis Funeral Home with Elder Richard Adams officiating and burial to follow in C.M. Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at the funeral home. Military graveside services will be conducted by the Disabled American Veterans Chapter #45 of Jackson.
