Jack E. Ousley, age 77, of Wellston, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He was born September 24, 1934 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky, the son of the late Lawrence Ousley, Sr. and Anastasia C. Essman Ousley.
Jack was a veteran of the Unites States Army and was a former self-employed truck driver. He was a member of the American Legion Post 371 of Wellston. Jack loved to hunt, fish and go mushroom hunting. He enjoyed his hummingbirds and was an avid race car fan.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Norma Jean LeMaster Ousley; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Kim Ousley of Brunswick; grandchildren, Eric Ousley (Jenn), Derek Ousley, Brandon Ousley and Kristina Ousley, all of Brunswick; great-grandchildren, Kayla, Trevor and Chloe; sisters and brothers-in-law, Rita and Ed Miller of Jackson, Sharon and Robert Grimes of Jackson and Helen and Russ Benson of Wellston; brothers and sisters-in-law, Don and Mary Ousley of Nashport, Mike and Brenda Ousley of Wellston and Carl and Kim Ousley of Wellston, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Besides his parents, Jack was preceded in death by sons, Jack Ousley, Jr. and Jeffrey Alan Ousley, and his brothers, Lawrence Ousley, Jr., Tim Ousley, Jim Ousley, Bob Ousley and David Ousley.
Calling hours will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with John Pelletier officiating. Burial will be in the Greenlawn Memory Gardens in Coalton with military honors by the American Legion Post 371 of Wellston.
