Kathleen J. Chaffin, age 80, of Wellston, passed away Monday, August 29, 2016, at Mt. Carmel West Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She was born May 23, 1936 in Clarksburg, W. Va. to the late Dominique Payne and Sylvia M. Hickman Payne.
Kathleen was a former bank teller and a former employee of OVAL in Wellston. She enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles and watching football on T.V.
Kathleen is survived by her children, John Chaffin of Concord, N.C. and Ellen Webb of Piketon, along with four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marion F. Chaffin, and her sister, Loretta Payne.
Private services will be held for the family with burial in the Byer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions in Kathleen’s name be given to a favorite charity of one’s choice.
