William Frederick “Bill” Stewart

William Frederick “Bill” Stewart, age 84, of Wellston, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2015, at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.  He was born January 2, 1931 in Pattonsville, Ohio to the late Frederick and Gladys Zinn Stewart. 

Bill was a 1947 graduate of Bloomfield Township School and a veteran of the United States Army.  He was the former owner and operator of Stewart Coal Company and NAPA Auto Parts in Wellston.  He was a member of the Black Diamond Lodge #538 F&AM for over 50 years, and he enjoyed traveling. 

Bill is survived by his wife of 65 years, Phyllis Sharleen Graham Stewart, whom he married on November 3, 1949; children, Dale Edward Stewart (Carolyn) of Wellston, Jerry Dean Stewart (Cindy) of Jackson, Randy Lee Stewart of Wellston and Tina Dawn King (Jeff) of Wellston; grandchildren, Dustin Stewart, Mindy Jackson (John), Shawn Stewart (Tara Lockard), Brad Stewart (Josie), Levi Stewart, Hannah Stewart, Tyler King and Tiffani King; great-grandchildren, Sierra, Ryan, Josh, Justin, Jayce, Whitney, Allison and Jashaelyn; sister, Nancy Collier (Paul) of Heath; brother, Walter Stewart (Luann) of Wellston, as well as several nieces, nephews, and special friends and caregivers, Joanne and Walter Skaj of Wellston.

Calling hours will be Friday from 4 to 7:30 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston, where a Masonic service by Black Diamond Lodge #538 will be held at 7:30 p.m. Funeral service will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Jones officiating.  Burial will follow in the Greenlawn Memory Gardens in Coalton, with military honors by the American Legion Post #371 of Wellston.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com
