Roy M. Barnett, Sr. age 78, of Hamden, passed away Friday, June 24, 1016 at the Edgewood Manor Nursing Facility in Wellston. He was born December 28, 1937 in Richland Township, Vinton County, Ohio to the late Russell Barnett and Bernice Brown Barnett.
Roy was a former employee of Crownover Lumber in McArthur for over 30 years. He is survived by his daughter, Pamela Haynes (Chet) of McArthur; son, Scott Barnett (Candy) of McArthur; siblings, Donny Barnett of McArthur and Jody Taborn of Hamden, as well as 4 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and his canine best friend, Tiny. Besides his parents, Roy was preceded in death by 2 sons, Roy Melvin Barnett, Jr. and Kevin Lee Barnett; grandson, Jason Lee Barnett; and several brothers and sisters.
In keeping with Roy’s wishes, there will be no services and his body was cremated.
