Melissa M. “Missy” Williams

Melissa M. “Missy” Williams, age 52, of Wellston, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at the Holzer Medical Center in Jackson, Ohio.  She was born Aug. 11, 1968 in Oak Hill, Ohio, daughter of the late Joe E. Williams and Goldie Leah Barlow Williams. 

Missy graduated with the class of 1986 from Wellston High School. She was a nursing assistant and was also a former employee of The Chocolate Factory and McDonald’s, both in Wellston. Missy enjoyed playing bingo and the lottery, but most of all she loved her cats, reading the Bible and spending time with her family. 

She is survived by children, Tiffany Brown, Josh Brown (Samantha), Traci Brown, Timber Lewis and Jalee Brown; grandchildren, Hunter, Abby and Emma Brown; sister, Kristi Rose; brother, Joey Williams (Julie); nieces, Payton Marquis (Chad) and Shelby Jo O’Dell; nephew, Cameron Williams; great-nieces, Lauryn Marquis and Blakley Williams; special friends, Tim Brown and Julie Ross; along with several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. 

Besides her parents, Missy was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Jerry Dale Rose.  

In keeping with Missy’s wishes, her body was cremated. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
