Madalyn M. Dameron, age 85, of Waynesville, Ohio, formerly of Jackson, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2016 at the Quaker Heights Care Community in Waynesville, Ohio. She was born October 1, 1930 in Catlettsburg, Kentucky to the late Lewis R. and Anna E. Childers Stevens.
Madalyn was a member of the Jackson Church of God where she was their clerk for many years. She enjoyed reading, embroidering, cooking and most importantly, spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughter: Linda Cook of Harveysburg, Ohio, sons: Paul (Mitzi) Dameron of Wilmington, Ohio and Bruce (Colleen) Dameron of Jackson; brother: Clifford Stevens (who was called to Heaven shortly after her); eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Fred Dameron; son: Donald Dameron; brother: Clarence Stevens; sisters: Mildred Meredith and Mary Starkey; and son-in-law, Earnest Cook.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Murphy officiating and burial to follow in the Bethel Ridge Cemetery.
