Laura Mae (Memal) Strong, age 84, of 254 East Main St. in Jackson, Ohio, passed away at her home on Friday, May 17, 2013. She was born November 15, 1928 to the late James and Laura Browning.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William E. (Buck) Strong, exactly 18 years ago on May 17, 1995. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Bob (Nola) Browning, Russell (Rut) Browning (Geraldine), Joe Browning, Danny (Doc) Browning Sr. (Judy) and Carl Browning; and sisters, Gladys (Sis) Waugh, Bydra Timmons and Ruth Browning.
She is survived by her three children, Judy R. Scott of Jackson, Edith A. (Bud) Wiseman of Jackson, and William E. Jr. (Linda) Strong, of Beaver; seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her two sisters, Margie Shepherd of Jackson, and Barbara Carpenter, also of Jackson.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, May 20, 2013 at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home in Jackson with Rev. Wilford Gillem officiating. Burial will follow in Beaver Union Cemetery.
