Kell Wing Haviland Palletti, age 32, of Louisville, Kentucky and formerly of Jackson, was tragically killed by a hit-and-run driver on Thursday, Aug. 30, 2018 in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born in Portsmouth, Ohio on March 14, 1986 to Karen Sue (Kayner) and Lawrence Henry Palletti, who survive. Besides his parents, he is survived by his sisters, Kerith and Cory Palletti, along with an aunt, Lisa Kayner.

Kell graduated from Oak Hill High School, attended the University of Rio Grande and obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from Ohio University. The following is a quote from one of his college assignments: “I have already come to terms with my mortality, everything begins to die the moment it is conceived, so I see no reason why I should get so bothered up about it…’I am truly sorry for your impending passing, but surely you’ve taken into consideration how unfair life is. This is simply how life works.’ These would not be the exact words for decency’s sake, mind you, but just, y’know, without all that sugar.”

Kell was a very kind and intelligent soul. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He loved his Nintendo D.S., music, reading novels, and riding his bicycle.

A service celebrating Kell’s life will be held on Sunday, Sept. 16 at “Soldiers Circle” in Fairmount Cemetery at 2 p.m. with Bill Taylor officiating. Military services will be conducted by the Disabled American Veterans – Jackson Chapter 45.

Arrangements are by the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home and Southern Ohio Cremation Services in Jackson.
