Gary L. Miller, age 71, of Jackson, Ohio passed away Monday, January 5, 2015 at Heartland of Jackson. He was born May 8, 1943 in Oak Hill, Ohio to the late Dwight and Wilma (Staten) Miller.
Gary was owner/operator of Gary’s Barber Shop in Jackson for 45 years. He attended the Calvary United Methodist Church and was an avid Buckeye fan.
He is survived by his wife, Ronda Miller; sons, Doug Miller and Rod Miller; four grandchildren, Cassie and Sara Miller; and Danielle and Zach Miller, as well as their mother, Tammi Miller; two great-grandchildren, Emma Miller and Lexie Miller; a sister, Marilyn (Alva) Menshouse; brother-in-law, Ronnie Dunn; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and relatives.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Glenda Dunn and an infant brother and sister.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2015 from 4 p.m.-8 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, January 9, 2015 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Terry Cavanaugh officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery.
