Doris Dean Copas, age 68, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016 at her home. She was born April 13, 1948 in Magoffin, Kentucky to the late Sterling Robert Williams and Darcus Rose LeMaster-Williams.
She is survived by her children: Shannon and Rob Robinson of Chillicothe, Ohio, John and Terrie Copas of Grove City, Ohio, Brandy and Jim Hamanaka of Wellston, Ohio, Toni Copas of Wellston, Ohio, and Tonya and Robert Lorenzen of Jackson, Ohio; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother: Gary and Elaine Williams of Ashland, Kentucky; sister, Shirley Jackson of Ashland, Kentucky; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John “Jack” Copas and nine siblings.
Doris retired from General Mills after 12 years. She was a loving mother.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2016 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, November 18, 2016 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Larry Boggs officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery.
