Sandy D. Smith, age 43, of Wellston, passed away on Wednesday, May 5, 2015 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus. He was born on January 19, 1972 in Ross County to Wanda (Culwell) Smith and the late Carl E. Smith. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by two sisters, Pamela Smith and Tina (Smith) Coen.
He is survived by his mother, Wanda (Culwell) Smith of Jackson; brothers, Chuck Smith of Jackson and twin brother Andy Smith of Jackson; sisters, Carla Smith of Jackson and Shannon (Kevin) McCloud of Jackson, along with several nieces and nephews. Other survivors include his girlfriend, Amy Henson and her children, Viola Henson and B.J. Cruise, and four grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home in Jackson on Friday, May 8 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jack Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m.
