Lacey Renee West born May 17, 1992 in Gallipolis. She walked through the gates of Heaven on Sunday, May 3, 2015 at the age of 22.
Lacey is survived by her mother, Amy West (Jim Green) of Charleston, West Virginia; father, Kelly Rusk of Bidwell; brothers, Bill West (Jaime) of Jackson, Zachary Wiesmen (Brittany) of Charleston, West Virginia, Austin Kelley of Charleston, West Virginia, and Derrick Rusk of Jackson; sister, Ashley Rusk of Jackson; aunts and uncles, Jessica Redmond (Jason) of Mt. Sterling, John and Stacy Waugh of Jackson, Joshua Waugh of Springfield, Katrina Perkins Bashum of Oak Hill, and Isreal Ousley of Wellston; maternal grandfather, John “Welby” Waugh of Jackson; paternal grandmother, Linda Rostedt; special person, “Momma Gina” of Charleston, West Virginia; nephews, Braxton and Camron West of Jackson; special friend, Quinn; as well as several cousins and many, many friends.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Karen Waugh of Jackson; great-grandmother, Gladys “Sis” Collins of Jackson; and great-grandfather, George Hood of Jackson.
Lacey was so full of life and loved by so many. She loved expressing herself through beauty and fashion and always said what was on her mind. As we see her one last time and take her to her final resting place, just know she will always be watching over us.
Family and friends are asked to call upon the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson on Saturday, May 9, from 4-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 10, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Cheryl Browning officiating. Graveside services will follow at Coalton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
