Viola A. Trace, age 80, of Jackson, Ohio passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at her daughter’s residence. She was born February 27, 1933 in Carter County, Kentucky to the late Charles and Minnie (Ratliff) Nichols.
She is survived by two sons, Eugene (Shirley) Harmon and William (Missy) Harmon both of Jackson, Ohio; three daughters, Thelma (Jim) Martin, and Jessie (Ed) Tolliver of Jackson, Ohio and Mary Trace (Regina) of Wilkesville, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Teresa Harmon of Oak Hill, Ohio; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and one brother, Thomas Nichols of Jackson, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two husbands, James Harmon and Earl Trace; one son, Clarence Harmon; two daughters, Maxine Nichols and Irene Harmon; two stepsons, Clifford Harmon, and Earl Wesley Trace; as well as two sisters and one brother.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 1, at 2 p.m. at Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill, Ohio. Burial will follow at Monroe Cemetery.
