Gwendolyn Sue Murphy, age 62, of Wellston, Ohio, passed away July 26, 2013 at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis, Ohio.
Gwendolyn was born June 7, 1951 in Birmingham, AL to Az and Irene Brown. She formerly worked at Carnival Foods in Lancaster.
Surviving are her daughters, Ginnie Schneider of Circleville, Shannon Danner and fiance Brandon O’Neill of Wellston, and Patty Miller and husband Gib Miller of Lancaster; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; special friends, Woody and Jenny Bates; and all of her special friends at Carnival Foods.
Gwendolyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James L. Murphy, who passed away in 2010; and sons, James Murphy II, who passed away in 1980 and Christopher Murphy, who passed away in 2012.
Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday, August 1, 2013 at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, 204 West Main Street, Logan, Ohio with Pastor Pete officiating.
