William Edward Haines

William Edward Haines passed away Friday, July 26, 2013. “Bill” was born on November 6, 1940, and reared in Flatwoods, Kentucky, the son of the late Alvin and Eva Haines.

Bill was a graduate of Russell High School, Russell, KY, and was also a graduate of Morehead State University, holding both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in education. He taught Latin and History before becoming a high school principal at Oak Hill High School. During his career in education, he coached numerous sports.

He will be missed by his wife (Carolyn) and sons, Thad (Julie) and Adam, as well as by his brothers, Roger (Sharon), Phil (Marty), George (Deb) and sisters, Mary (Joe) Robinson and Jane (Don) Toliver, and numerous nephews and nieces. There will be a private ceremony for the family at a future date.
