Connie Manion

Connie Manion, age 70, of Jackson passed away Saturday, June 11, 2022, at Four Winds community. She was born August 15, 1951, to the late James E. Simpson and Arleda Mae Rouse.

Connie was a 1969 graduate of Jackson High school who loved giving back. She would donate her time making quilts for veterans and making hats, scarfs, and gloves for the homeless. She loved catfishing and just was a good Christian woman.

She is survived by her husband, Timothy Dean Manion Sr.; sons, Timothy Dean (Mindy) Manion Jr. and  Bryan (Vickie) Manion; daughters, Christina Manion and Stella (Frankie) Belt; brothers, Kenneth (Snooks) Simpson and Donald L. (Barbra) Simpson; sister, Bonnie (Elba) Manion; grandchildren, Kayla, Lovell, Edward, Miranda, Angel, Charles, Ashleigh, Robert, Judd, Tanner, and  Arnold “Wayne,” David, and Jennifer who were just like her children, as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She was proceeded in death by her parents; brothers, James E. Simpson, Walter P. Simpson, and Steven B. Simpson; and sisters, Delores Downard and Dorothy Fisher.

A Celebration of Life will be held July 2, 2022, at the Glen Roy Community Church from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home.
