Jeremy Alan Hughes, age 31, of Jackson, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 31st, 2022, at the Doctor’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He was born September 2nd, 1990, in Gallipolis, Ohio to Denver Hughes, Jr. and Penelope “Penny” Wilson.

Jeremy loved to hunt and fish when we could. He loved watching the Green Bay Packers and Ohio State play and always watched NASCAR on Sundays. He enjoyed watching the Power Rangers. Jeremy loved to joke and always lit up the room when he was around. He will be sadly missed by many.

He is survived by his parents: Denver Hughes, Jr. and Penelope “Penny” Wilson of Wellston, Ohio; his grandma, Joanne Hughes of Wellston, Ohio; grandpa, Denver Hughes, Sr. of Jackson, Ohio; his wife, Rebecca Hughes; sisters: Candace Hughes and Jocelyn Hughes; big brother, Andrew Hughes; nephew, Kaiser Hughes; uncles: Chris Wilson, Sam Wilson, Jeff (Mary) Wilson, Eddie (Sammantha) Hughes; his aunt, Peggy (Pete) Travis; as well as several cousins: Holly Qualls, Haylie Wilson, Kayci Wilson, Kelsey Ostrander, Nikki Travis, Shelby Hughes, Paige Hughes, and Mason Hughes; and special friends: Denver Layne, Duke West, Cassel Rucker, and William Rucker. Jeremy is preceded in death by his grandpa, Sammy Wilson, Sr.; his grandma, Shirley Hughes; and special uncle, Oscar Goheen.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 8th, 2022, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson.
