Donna Jean Fouty passed away Monday, February 21, 2022, just four days shy of her 79th birthday. She was born February 25, 1943, to John and Audrey Davis Stoneburner.

She is survived by her spouse of 63 years, Capt. Clifton Gene “Bud” Fouty; children: Angelina (Larry) Des Jardins, David (Peggy) Fouty, Valarie Byus (Brad DeWine); sisters: Hazel Mercer and Della Henry; and daughter-in-law, Vickie Fouty. Donna leaves behind many grandchildren: Ashley, Glenn, Shayle, Savannah, Shon, David, Lexie and Jacob; five great grandchildren that she loved to spoil; as well as many nieces and nephews. Donna was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Majel Henry; and her eldest son, Clifton J. Fouty; as well as a very close family friend, Bob Haynes.

Donna loved people and getting to know them. She made many dear friends throughout the years and in many different locations as she supported her husband during the years of his military service. Donna loved playing bingo, spending time with her sisters and talking on the phone. The most important people in her life were her family, but Donna has had many friends that she brought in as family, providing meals during the holidays for anyone alone. Her nurse, Becky Fout, took wonderful care of her over the past few years and became a dear friend. Donna will be sorely missed by many.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 24, 2022, at 6 p.m. at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Butch Cooper officiating. Family will receive friends two hours prior to the service from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.mayhew-brownfuneralhome.com
