Peggy Eanes Turner, 91, of Jackson, Ohio passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at the Holzer Assisted Living in Jackson. She was born July 31, 1930, in Jackson, Ohio to the late Homer and Helen Stevison Eanes. 

Peggy was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church. Her faith was a huge part of her life even though she had not been able to attend in some time.

She is survived by her children: Tami (Tom) Dorsey of Daytona Beach, Florida, Terri Turner of Jackson and Tom Turner of Jackson; grandchildren: Courtney (Ben) Brewer of Gurley, Alabama and Derek (Amanda) Wallace of Jackson; great-grandchildren: Dylon Wallace of Jackson, and Shelby and Graham Brewer of Alabama. Peggy is also survived by her sisters-in-law: Mary Lou Eanes of Louisiana and Mary Beth Eanes of Jackson; four nieces, two nephews and special cousin, Gary (Anne) Fisher of Jackson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Tom Turner; brothers: Bill and Roger Eanes; sister-in-law, Carolyn Eanes; nephew, Bruce Eanes; and her infant granddaughter, Heather Noelle Wallace. The family would like to express their extreme gratitude to the staff of the Holzer Assisted Living and Hospice of Heartland for their care and compassion while caring for our mother.

Calling hours will be held from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Monday, January 3, 2022, at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home in Jackson. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with burial to follow in the Fairmount Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Peggy’s name can be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 125 Locust St., Jackson, Ohio 45640.
