Mary Cassidy

Mary Jo Taylor Cassidy, 82, of Jackson, passed away Monday, December 27, 2021 at the Adena Regional Medical Center of Chillicothe. She was born January 12, 1939, in Keystone, OK to the late James H. Taylor and Clara A. Parker Hefley.

She joined the US Airforce in May, 1960. While stationed at Lackland AFB, San Antonio, Texas, she met Marlin D. “Wayne” Cassidy. They were married May 20, 1961, at Flatrock Assembly of God Church, London, Arkansas. They made their home in Jackson, Ohio in 1976.

She is survived by her husband, Marlin D. “Wayne” Cassidy; son, Mike (Jessica) Cassidy and granddaughter, Brittany Cassidy of Utah; daughter, Ruth (Jeff) Winters and grandchildren: Hannah (Ryan) Coffey, Adeline Joyce Coffey, Cassidy Pearl Coffey, Bethany Winters and Noah Winters of Columbus, Ohio; brother, Wally (Debbie) Tayloy of Guntersville, Alabama; sister, Lou (Jim) Price of Glasglow, Kentucky; sister-in-law, Joyce Cassidy of Jackson; as well as many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, James H. Taylor, Jr.; and two sisters: Retta F. Henry and Carol S. Freyaldenhoven.
