Linda Shotts

Linda L. Shotts, age 73, of Wellston, passed away Monday, December 20, 2021, at her home. She was born November 29, 1948, in Springfield, Ohio, daughter of the late Jack Richard Long and Garnet Lannom Knisley. Linda retired from the Vinton County Board of Education, where she was employed as a school bus driver for 32 years. In years past, Linda was very active and known for her participation with the Jackson County Secret Santa program. She was also an avid bowler for many years. Linda enjoyed farming and helping with birthing pigs. She always thought the baby pigs were so cute until they grew up! Linda was also known as a good cook, and she loved the holidays and cooking for the family gatherings.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Charles Eugene “Gene” Shotts; children: Charles E. “Charlie” Shotts, Jr. (Trina Scarberry), Cindy Lou Cinereski Shotts (Paul), Richard L. “Lynn” Shotts (Janice Fox-O’Dell)  and Tammy Sue Oliver (Robert); grandchildren: Richard L. Shotts II, Chad E. Shotts, Charlie L. Shotts, Jessica Webb Parsons (Ricky), Tyler T. Walton, Brei Walton, David Cinereski (Camela), Alysea Cinereski and Rhiannon Cinereski; siblings: Ronnie Knisley (Vivian), Brian Long and Kelly Long; along with several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Besides her parents, Linda was preceded in death by granddaughter, Charliegh Nicole Shotts and several brothers and sisters.

Calling hours will be Thursday, December 23, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral services will be Friday, December 24 at 11 a.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Fulton officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenlawn Memory Gardens in Coalton.
