Sharon Wallin

Sharon Lee Wallin, age 76, of Wellston, Ohio passed away Sunday, December 5th, 2021, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born April 26th, 1945, in Jackson County, Ohio to the late Bill and Freida (Ross) Jenkins. 

Sharon was a 1963 graduate of Coalton High School. She married her husband, Freddie Wallin, on December 7th, 1963. She has been a life-long resident of Jackson County. She worked for many years as a Home Interior Representative and worked with the Head Start program. She was a member of Trinity Chapel of Jackson. She enjoyed going to yard sales and bargain shopping and spending time with her grandchildren. She was affectionately known as “Mamaw Sharon” by many.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Freddie Wallin of Wellston, Ohio; her children: Tim Wallin of Jackson, Ohio, Kelly (Brian) Kilgour of Jackson, Ohio, Carrie (Mike) Scott of Portsmouth, Ohio and Misty (Bobby) Bolling of Rarden, Ohio; grandchildren: Lyndsey Kilgour, Kayleigh Wallis, Madison (Austin) Perkins, Whitney Rice, Makenna (Josh) Kilgour, Paris Rice, Bradin Bolling, Briar Bolling, Ariana Bolling, Dwight Bolling, Alainnah Scott and Caden Scott; sisters: Connie (Kenny) Rawlins and Sandy (Jay) McGowan; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her nephew, Ty Rawlins; and four brothers-in-law: Clarence Wallin, Harold Wallin, Addie Wagoner and Bill Rice.

The family would like to express thanks to Adena Hospice and nurse, Kara Edmiston, for the excellent care they provided for Sharon.  

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, December 8th, 2021, from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Trinity Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 9th, 2021, at 1 p.m. at the church with Pastor Knox Bullock officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
