Doris Jane Gifford, 91, of Jackson, passed away Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at the Four Winds Community. She was born May 4, 1930, in Jackson, Ohio to the late John and Grace Terry.
Doris was a member of the Tick Ridge Church and in her free time she enjoyed coloring, gardening, reading novels and listening to Christian music. However, there was nothing more important than spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters: Kathy (Bill) Henderson and Cheryl Sickles, son, William Edward “Bill” Fisher and his companion, Betty Tolliver. She was also survived by 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Junior Gifford; sons: Raymond Terry Cash, Vernon Eugene Cash and Ira Joseph “Joey” Sickles; daughter, Mary Jane Nickols; 2 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, November 5, 2021, at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
