Evyeln Perry

Evyeln Marie Perry, age 83, of Wellston, passed away Saturday, October 16, 2021, at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis, Ohio. She was born October 15, 1938, in Glouster, Ohio, daughter of the late Homer Rutter and Beatrice Mae Griffin Rutter. Evyeln was a former cook for Canter’s Cave and KFC, both in Jackson. Family was everything to Evyeln, especially all of her grandchildren. In her spare time, she always enjoyed shopping and listening to Conway Twitty.

Evyeln is survived by her children, Mary Skeens, Terry Nicholson, Kathy Radcliff and Norma Canter; along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert E. “Gene” Perry in 2008; daughter, Jeanie Wilson; son, Jimmy Perry; grandsons: Terry Joe Nicholson and Thomas Perry; siblings: Robert Rutter, Wilma Rutter, Dean Rutter and Wanda Ball; and her grandparents, who raised her, Nealie and Amanda Hook.

Calling hours will be Thursday, October 21, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral services will follow the calling hours at 1 p.m. with Pastor John Pelletier officiating.
